ABOUT

What to Expect

At Lake Mills Care Center, our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay and we aim to walk you through every step of your recovery. Please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions. We are here to help, provide the necessary support, and ensure a positive experience.

For some residents, Lake Mills Care Center may serve as their home, while for others, it may be a short-term visit to recover from surgery, injury, or illness before returning home. Regardless of your length of stay, our team is here for you and your families.

The foundation of our care is your care team, which includes your primary care nurse, certified nursing assistants, and therapists who will be working closely with you. We encourage you and your family to discuss any care concerns with them and inform them of any physical, mental, or emotional changes.

A licensed physician will oversee your care, although you may not see them as frequently as you did in the hospital. However, our staff members will be in regular contact with your physician, and it’s important for you or your family members to stay in touch with your physician. Our center accepts various payment options, including Medicare, private payment, and most insurance plans. Additionally, some of our centers also accept Medicaid. Please speak with the Admissions Director for more information on Medicare and Medicaid.

What To Bring

Feel free to personalize and decorate your room with items that make you feel at home. However, we kindly request that you keep valuable items such as jewelry and money at home for safekeeping. In addition, we ask that you discuss any electronic devices with our maintenance team before using them in your room. We aim to provide a comfortable and secure environment for all our residents during their stay with us.
